Eddie & Lynne accommodated us at fairly short notice in a very comfortable ground floor twin room facing the road.
They were extremely friendly, always ready for a chat, and what impressed us was that when they asked what we wanted for breakfast, and we enquired as to the availability of black pudding (with the full English) and camomile tea for my wife, our hosts (not having any in stock) immediately went out and bought some for our especial use.
That was what I call service (the breakfast was excellent, by the way)!
I have no hesitation in recommending it as a base for visiting Oxford (there’s a nearby bus stop, to save the hassle of driving around that city), Blenheim Palace, etc.
Great base for Witney
Had a one night stay for a July week-end, and found Crofters to be ideal for our needs. A nicely appointed house (and very clean and tidy – very important for us), with friendly owners. Location-wise excellent if visiting Oxford or the Cotswolds, and all rounded off with a lovely cooked breakfast (or lots other choices if you preferred) on the Sunday morning – this one ticked the boxes for us !
Nice Guest House in Good Location

We stayed with Lynne and Eddie – magnificent hosts -for three nights whilst cycling part of the Cotswolds. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Excellent location, a short and mainly rural walk into the town centre but near to major access routes to other places. The breakfasts were the best we’ve ever had. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed Eddie’s humorous comments on life. it was very enjoyable being able to sit with them sharing a drink in their lovely garden. Would highly recommend others to stay here.

Room Tip: All rooms look very comfortable
Simply the best

We stayed at the Crofters because it was close to our friends who we were visiting for the weekend.

Lynne and Eddie are excellent hosts and run a very pleasant establishment. The rooms were lovely and clean, beautifully decorated, and the breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice and freshly cooked.

We enjoyed our little breakfast discussions which were facilitated by our hosts.

We would definitely stay here again when visiting this lovely part of the country.

Great Bed and Breakfast

Phoning on the off chance for B & B. Lynne couldn’t have been more helpful, we had a comfortable wonderful room, excellent breakfast, charming company home from home and not forgetting Eddie for our tour of the beautiful garden. Thank you both for making a short stay so great

Angela and Jeremy. What a gem !

Made an impromptu visit at the beginning of the month for the weekend. The welcome from hosts Lynne and Eddie was fantastic as was the breakfast. Room was very clean spacious and modern. Ideally situated just a pleasant short walk to the town. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again. Steve and Jayne

Lynne and Eddie’s Great B&B
We wanted a base for exploring the Cotswolds and Oxford; a “real” village where we could experience the ebb and flow of life away from the big city. We got all that as well as a the comfort of a lovely B&B and wonderful, warm gracious hosts. Lynn and Eddie welcomed us as if we were long lost cousins. We immediately felt at ease as we sat in the wonderful sunroom, enjoying views of their beautiful garden, and having the best conversation, the first of many. Breakfasts were delicious and made to order; I couldn’t resist the offer of the full English…it kept me full til midday. We stayed six nights and had the right mix of exploring and relaxing.
Location was amazing. We could take a scenic 15 minute walk into the center of town that took us pass a historic farm used as the set for Downton Abbey, open meadows, and two pedestrian bridges across the Windrush River. Bus stops a block away took us directly into Oxford. A quick drive took us to several of the less touristy Cotswold Villages, where we enjoyed meeting some locals in the pubs and parish churches.
We stayed in the Garden Room, with a door directly out into a private patio. It was comfortable, quiet and had a beautiful view of their garden.
Perfect Location and Hosts

I stayed here on business and the house is homely and friendly. The bedroom has everything that you need including wi-fi and a nice selection of tea’s, coffees, hot chocolate etc. Crafters is a well appointed and conveniently located property with very friendly owners. Highly recommend.
